FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

[1.] What is the purpose of 1800 Otaku Senshi?
The purpose here at 1800 is to spotlight the ever growing community of fansenshi. Though there are more than any of us can count. 1800 hopes to attract the attention of the curious passer-by, the novice otaku author and even those who have been on the net for as long as Sailormoon has been aired in the States. We wish to bring to you all the wonders of the Sailormoon world but in a different light then staring the Pretty Soldier herself. No the star here is "you" and the creation that you have dedicated your time and efforts toward. So come on in and get your site listed.

[2.] I like your site how did you come up with such an idea?
Well one night I had just gotten a brainstorm that fansenshi are growing over the net. In almost everywhere I go there's an otaku character and even if the subject was about Sonic the Hedgehog, Final Fantasy, or DDR there was always a fansenshi floating among them. So I thought why not dedicate a site to fansenshi. With encouragement from friends I got started and by March 25, 2002 1800 Otaku Senshi was born.

[3.] You have a lot of rules. I can't quite understand them.
I understand that they are a lot but read through them carefully and I'm sure the understanding will sink in. These rules were produced by a legal friend of mine that found my site lacking due to the format it took. With these rules I feel a lot safer and hope that you would too. If for any reason after going through the rules twice you feel you are still confused you can contact me personally and I'l do my best to explain the areas you need assistance in.

[4.] Your rules bite!
And so do you...what's your point?

[5.] Nice idea but I get the feeling of joining up with a webring/clique site. What's with the code?
Who are the most likely people to visit a fansenshi site? Someone who either likes fansenshi, Sailormoon, or a fellow fansenshi author. So if you have the link on your site they can be escorted here as well and get a chance to archieve their site. Chances are they might actually check out other sites and well if your site is archieved; they might just find you as well. Think of it as insurance you got my link and I got yours.

[6.] What if I don't feel like putting the code on my splash.
You don't necessarily have to place it on the splash. It needs to be on the site mind you but not the splash. Preferably the links/webring/cliques page would be welcomed. However if its difficult to find I'm not going to spend the whole day or an hour even looking for it. Therefore you just shot your chance at being archieved. Your problem not mine.

[7.] Is there a community where we can chat?
Yeppers, you can always find other members of 1800 at the forums or use the chatterbox. There are always many from the community willing to help. My most constant contributors and dubbed helpers are Caloris, Lori and Angel they are usually willing to help you if I'm away. Be advised they also have lives as well so they can't be around as often either.

[8.] I went to use the Chatterbox but no one responds back. Why?
First off the chatterbox is NOT a chat room. It doesn't function as such so do not go in there expecting an instant reply, you won't get one. The chatterbox is like a miniature messageboard or tag board. It is used to ask questions or make a reply that will get noticed on a regular basis depending on if anyone frequents the page. There are certain days the chatterbox page may not show up at all. This is due to the chatterbox designer, I have no control over that so you will have to wait it out or return to the chat page at another time.

[9.] Are you going to have games and contest soon. We need more activities to keep us interested in the site and your services?
I plan to but I can't make any promises. I look daily for games that are freely usable online. If you know of some games that you'd like to see here let me know and we can work on some possibilities.

Did I answer your question? If not send your questions via contact and I'll post it here.
