OTAKU TV: INTRODUCTION

Hello and welcome to a new spin on the otaku rpg world. Ever wonder what it would be like to mix reality tv with the lives of an otaku senshi? Well at Otaku TV you'll get to dive into a new world of reality tv. Where both cameras and senshi are found in the same sentence.

THE OPENING SCRIPT

Your everyday life as a senshi has been borishly predictible up to this point. A monster threatens your town... you purify it. A stray asteroid threatens earth... you’re there to blast it out of the sky. Some strange alien kidnaps your lover... you’re there to kick butt and claim a romantic kiss afterwards. However, haven’t you ever felt like there’s more to the life of a senshi then kicking some alien monster butt?

There is...

One day on a regular routine check of your city you spot some strange monster terrorizing passers-by. As per usual, you jump on the scene with your opening statement and quickly after, battle has begun. Not too long into battle you spot a camera crew filming your fight. However delivering the final blow the monster is gone along with the crew. Days later there you are on national television kicking butt, a bit miffed at not being told, you head down to your local television studio to vent your frustrations however you are immediately intercepted by guards and escorted to a waiting room. Upon entering the room you find yourself face to screen with a large television and a strange figure that has yet to reveal herself. She speaks to you calmly and explians your plight as well as her own as a producer. Being a senshi doesn't mean you can solve everyone's problems so you kindly tell her to go "screw herself" and promptly leave thereafter. Days later you are startled out of your daily routine by the same voice from before, apparently she has been keeping tabs on you and has contacted you in whatever form is most convient. The producer who at some point introduced herself as Ericka Otaku is ready to discuss business with you. Provided that you agree, what aspiring otaku senshi could resist being a star on television?

So bitting down on your anger, you decided to give the strange reality show a try. And weeks later you are followed around every day by your own personal camera crew. From the moment you sleep to the moment you destroy the monster of the day; you’re being filmed.

And so Otaku TV is born. Will you be in next weeks episode?

SETTING AND ACCOMMENDATIONS

The set is located on a distant island near the Bermuda Triangle. Strange occurances have been happening recently and since you (as a senshi) were planning a long needed vacation, Ericka Otaku (the producer) has decided to set you up on Bermuda Isle. There you are provided with everything you need, as long as local monster or alien activity is kept to a minimum. All expences are paid for during your travel. From clothing, housing, food and even transportation provided by company limos.

However as you step foot on the Isle you quickly realize that things were not set up as planned. Though room and board is free you will be living in a ritzy mansion provided by the television company. Your payment allowances is five grand ($5,000) but you wont recieve it as often as expected. And to top that off the television producer Ericka Otaku has given each of you a cellular phone (of your own choosing) to contact you incase of "emergencies". Chances are the phones are bugged along with the mansion and transportation. So there's no point in asking for privacy since it was invaded a long time before you even agreed to this wild tv ride.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Being a senshi isn't easy and being a senshi under the "emplyoment" of Ericka Otaku is simply impossible. But someohow you manage. Ericka Otaku is our star antognist in this wild rollercoaster ride of annoyed otaku senshi and cranky camera crews. Ericka doesn't play by the rules of any reality show and she most definately doesn't let anyone in on her personal secrets. That includes what she looks like and the fact that her name can't possibly be "Otaku". All you know for sure is that she is a female. That she goes by the name Ericka and that she is an undeniable bonified "bitch".

She uses all kinds of mechanical, technical and computer operated machines to her advances. Having otaku senshi under her employe doesn't hinder her remorse for others as she finds herself inclinded to inlist the aid of those trapped in her endless games.

She has blackmailed every senshi under her so far. Some senshi have choosen not to transform leaving their true identities open to the public while others have agreed to stay in their senshi forms throughout the duration of the "vacation". If for any reason you choose to be apart of Ericka's horrendous games choose wisely of how you will conduct yourself. Senshi or civilian? Your choice will either make you or break you.

One thing is for certain you'd have a better chance as a senshi then civilian. Another point to keep in mind is that Ericka tends to fall back on her promises. She likes to flaunt her riches by bribing her way into your graces. Don't let her do it. Some senshi decided to work closer under her others choose to stay as far from her as humanly possible. Keep in mind if anyone working for her directly (civilian wise) is harmed all bets are off and your true identy is broadcasted world wide for all to see. This may or may not be an issue to you but think of your fellow senshi. They are bounded by the rule of "one". If one of you messes up then all of you mess up and a full cast of senshi identities are broadcasted worldwide. Aside from this you have a full cast of senshi that are angry at you first and Ericka second. No matter how strong you may believe your senshi abilities to be you cannot possibly defeat seven or more senshi that you have no absolute knowledge about. And not all of them reside from this world.

So with this information I hope you can get through the day safely and return to your hometown without incident. And if all else fails then look for Ericka's weakness, she's bound to have one.
